"Pull Trap" for sticky capture of agricultural pests, spider mites -9

Capture without using chemicals! It does not promote pesticide resistance in spider mites!

1. Background of Development ● Spider mites are agricultural pests that are difficult to visually confirm, as they are about 0.3-0.5mm in length and parasitize the undersides of leaves. ● In recent years, there has been an increase in spider mites that are highly resistant to pesticides, leading to a demand for non-chemical control methods. ● In collaboration with Professor Takashi Suzuki and others from the Graduate School of Global Innovation Studies at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, we conducted joint research aimed at developing a capture tool based on the behavior of spider mites. We discovered that adhesive capture of the body is effective for spider mites, leading to the development of this tool. 2. Features of "Puru Trap" -9 ● Designed based on the characteristics of spider mites, which tend to climb upwards, prefer bright colors, and have strong leg power, the fork-shaped yellow adhesive branches capture spider mites that climb up by adhering at the edge. ● The adhesive branches are a visible yellow color, allowing for easy visual confirmation of spider mite occurrence and capture status. ● Since no chemicals are used, it does not promote pesticide resistance in spider mites. ● Even when wet, it regains its adhesive power upon drying and maintains its stickiness for about six months. ● Beneficial mites used for spider mite control are less likely to be captured by the adhesive, allowing for synergistic effects when used in combination.
