The KE-0500 series is an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for industrial machinery, providing a 3-phase AC 200V 5KVA pure sine wave output. The energy storage device can be selected as either EDLC or lithium-ion batteries. Backup with EDLC is useful for short durations, such as during the time it takes for machinery to complete normal operations or until a generator starts up. Additionally, it is attractive because it can provide backup in low-temperature environments, such as below freezing, where conventional batteries would not operate. Backup with lithium-ion batteries is useful for long durations when backing up system power. The basic configuration provides 45 minutes of backup, but by expanding the battery, several hours of backup is possible.
