The KE-0500 series is an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for industrial machinery, providing a 3-phase AC 200V 5KVA pure sine wave output. The energy storage device can be selected as either an EDLC or a lithium-ion battery. Backup with EDLC is useful for short durations, such as providing backup until the machine completes its normal shutdown or until the generator starts. Additionally, it is attractive because it can provide backup in low-temperature environments, such as below freezing, where conventional batteries cannot operate. Backup with lithium-ion is useful for long durations when backing up the system power supply. The basic configuration provides 60 minutes of backup, but by expanding the battery, it is possible to achieve several hours of backup.
