In film perforation processing, it is important to stably support the film during processing with a needle roll. However, since horsehair alone does not provide sufficient stiffness, we enhance the supporting power by mixing in wire. Additionally, while horsehair and wire mixtures have been commonly used in conventional perforating machines, recent changes in processing conditions have led to higher temperatures of the needle rolls, resulting in more cases where horsehair cannot withstand the heat. As a result, there has been an increase in equipment that employs heat-resistant hair materials such as PFA (Teflon-based fluororesin) and PPS.
