Latest upgrade wear-resistant steel plate Hardox 500 Tuf
Hardox 500 Tuf combines the best characteristics of Hardox 450 and Hardox 500, offering excellent performance.
The latest upgrade in the Hardox series, Hardox 500 Tuf, not only has the same hardness as Hardox 500 but also features a narrower nominal hardness range (475–505 HB) and a minimum nominal hardness that is higher than that of Hardox 500. With guaranteed impact toughness (27 J at -20°C), its wear resistance in simulations is improved by 35% to 40% compared to Hardox 450. Additionally, while Hardox 500 Tuf has the same hardness as Hardox 500, it possesses the same bending characteristics as Hardox 450, and welding does not require preheating for thicknesses below 16 mm, making it easier to process.
