The M-coil type heat exchanger consists of heat transfer tubes that form the flow path for the process fluid and a flow path for the utility side heat transfer medium formed by the partition plate and the outer surface of the heat transfer tubes. The process fluid and utility fluid exchange heat in a fully counterflow configuration within a spiral flow path. The heat transfer tubes through which the process flows use seamless pipes, and since there are no welded joints inside the main body, there are no issues related to deterioration or defects in the welds. Additionally, due to the coiled and movable structure of the heat transfer tubes, they absorb the stress generated by frequent heat shocks. 【Principle of Heat Exchange】 In cooling, the cooling liquid flows from the top to the bottom inside the coil. Inside the coil, the process fluid flows in a turbulent manner. The heat transfer medium, such as cold water, attempts to flow from the bottom to the top outside the coil, but is obstructed by the two plates and the coil, preventing a short path. Instead, it flows through the space formed by the two plates and the coil. The flow directions of the cooling liquid and the heat transfer medium are opposite, creating a complete counterflow, which results in a high heat transfer coefficient.
