The "BOD Trak II" is a pressure sensor-based automatic BOD measuring device that detects pressure changes with a highly sensitive pressure sensor and converts them into oxygen consumption values. By monitoring the pressure, it allows for continuous direct reading. During measurement, the sample is constantly stirred, ensuring uniform oxygen uptake in the sample water. The generated carbon dioxide is absorbed by an absorbent (potassium hydroxide) set within the container, so it does not affect pressure measurement.
