The standard material is aluminum, and it can be manufactured in a size suitable for installation inside an air handling unit. A plate pitch can be selected considering both optimal efficiency and pressure loss. The maximum pressure difference between the high-temperature side and the low-temperature side is 10,000 Pa (0.1 bar). An epoxy coating suitable for corrosive air (for example, air from swimming pools) can be applied. Performance and quality certification have been obtained from EUROVENT and TUV. Materials such as stainless steel and high corrosion-resistant polypropylene are also available. It can accommodate special shapes (such as rectangular or variations in plate spacing for different fluids). As an option, bypass and dampers can be selected.
