[Case Study of Heat Recovery] Heating of Adjacent Areas Using Exhaust Heat from the Furnace

A case where the heat inside the equipment was exchanged with the cold air in the molding equipment area, reducing heating costs.

Until now, while discharging the hot air from the equipment with the furnace to the outside, the neighboring equipment was heated with steam, and as the room temperature dropped during winter, the required amount of steam increased, leading to higher steam costs. After implementing energy-saving measures, we used the plate-type gas/gas heat exchanger "HEATEX" to exchange heat between the hot air in the equipment with the furnace and the cold air in the molding equipment area, thereby reducing the heating costs of the steam unit heater. [Case Summary] ■ Used plate-type gas/gas heat exchanger "HEATEX" ■ The amount of steam saved is approximately 50 kg/h ■ Steam saved during winter 50 kg/h × 24 h/d × 30 d/m × 4 months = 144 t/year ■ Assuming the cost of steam is ¥6,300/t, the steam cost saved during winter ¥6,300 × 144 = ¥907,200 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
