【Raman Spectroscopy Application 1】 Discrimination of Structurally Similar Sugars Using Handheld Raman Spectroscopy

This application note presents the construction of a library that clearly distinguishes D-galactose, D-glucose, D-maltose, D-mannose, D-sorbitol, fructose, sucrose, and inositol using a handheld Raman analyzer (Raman spectrometer Mira M-3), and introduces a case where rapid non-destructive identification analysis is possible. It was demonstrated that using Mira allows for clear and rapid identification analysis of sugars without the need for sample pretreatment.
