Quantitative Analysis of Palladium Plating Bath Using Ion Surfactant Electrodes [Technical Document]

Palladium plating baths or the measurement of palladium(II) chloride can be easily performed using a potentiometric automatic titration device.

We are measuring palladium(II) using potentiometric titration with hexadecylpyridinium chloride and an "ion surfactant" electrode.

Automatic titration device for measuring surfactants.

basic information

Pipette an appropriate amount of sample solution containing at least 6 mg of Pd2+ into a beaker, and add 20 mL of a solution containing 1 mol/L HCl and 1 mol/L NaCl. After adding 20 mL of distilled water, titrate with hexadecylpyridinium chloride c(HDPCl) = 0.02 mol/L.
