Heat-resistant transparent polyester [Altesta(R)]
Arutesta is a new polyester developed by Mitsubishi Gas Chemical that combines heat resistance and amorphous properties.
Altesta, a heat-resistant transparent polyester, is a groundbreaking new material that excels in heat resistance, amorphous properties, and safety and hygiene aspects. **Features** - **Heat Resistance**: Altesta has a heat resistance of PET +30°C, with a maximum heat resistance of 95°C, making it suitable for use in vehicles and hot water. It can also be used as a container material for heating, filling, drying, and sterilization. - **Amorphous Properties**: It has excellent transparency and can undergo various molding and processing techniques, particularly excelling in deep drawing and shaping. - **Optical Properties**: It has a low refractive index and high total light transmittance. - **Blending**: It blends well with various polyesters, polycarbonates, and can also be used as a modifier. - **Safety and Hygiene**: It does not use harmful substances or environmentally burdensome materials. It has obtained approval from the Polyolefin Hygiene Council and the FDA. *For detailed performance specifications of Altesta (heat resistance, transparency, chemical resistance, weather resistance), please refer to the catalog download.*
