Application example: Experiment of ion trap using AWG card.
Example from the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information at the University of Innsbruck, Austria! Comprehensive catalog and case materials are being presented.
At the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, we will introduce an application example of ion trap experiments using an AWG card. The institute required an arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) to generate various signals for research purposes. With the AWG, it became possible to generate signals of multiple frequencies, each with arbitrary amplitudes. In other words, it became possible to address multiple ions in an ion chain simultaneously.
