Developed a handling manipulator for ring mill automatic lines.
Mitsubishi Nagasaki Machinery has developed the world's first "Handling Manipulator" as a manufacturer of forging presses and ring mills. By combining link mechanisms and hydraulic servos, it enables the automatic insertion of hot materials into the ring mill with high speed and precision. The carrying capacity of this developed machine is a maximum weight of 500 kg and a maximum outer diameter of 600 mm. Additionally, mutual communication between the ring mill and the handling manipulator via wireless LAN has realized a state-of-the-art operating specification using a tablet device. This allows us to offer a packaged solution for the automation of the ring mill, and we are confident that it will contribute to improving our customers' productivity.
