Manufacturing and delivering vacuum chambers for steelmaking companies.
Mitsubishi Nagasaki Machinery responded to the equipment renewal needs of steel manufacturers by manufacturing and delivering a vacuum chamber. This vacuum chamber is one of the largest pieces of equipment within a domestic vacuum induction melting furnace, which is used for refining metals under vacuum conditions. Since this equipment could not be transported by sea, it was disassembled to a size suitable for land transport and assembled on-site. The total weight of the manufactured equipment is approximately 500 tons. Additionally, as it is a vacuum device, helium leak tests were also conducted at the local welding points.
