Magnetic Separator: The Difference Between Electromagnets and Permanent Magnets
I will introduce the differences between electromagnets and permanent magnets used in various fields such as motors, cars, trains, and electronic devices!
Introduction to the Differences Between Electromagnets and Permanent Magnets An "electromagnet" is a type of magnet that generates "temporary" magnetic force by winding a coil around a core made of magnetic material (commonly iron) and passing an electric current through it. By stopping the current, it is possible to reduce the magnetic force to nearly zero. A "permanent magnet," on the other hand, is an object that generates a magnetic field without the need for external energy, such as electricity. Unless subjected to heat or shock, it does not lose its magnetic force for a semi-permanent duration. [Features] < Electromagnet > ■ It is possible to reduce the magnetic force to nearly zero by stopping the current. ■ Compared to a permanent magnet of similar size, it can generate a larger magnetic force. ■ Continuous current through the coil generates heat, which increases resistance and reduces the magnetic force (weakens it). *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
basic information
【Features】 <Permanent Magnets> ■ Do not require energy such as electricity to generate magnetic force ■ Will not lose magnetic force permanently unless subjected to heat or impact ■ There are various types of permanent magnets, such as ferrite magnets, samarium-cobalt magnets, and neodymium magnets, each with different material properties *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Delivery of non-ferrous metal sorting systems for domestic recycling companies.
In June of this year, our company delivered a non-ferrous metal sorting system for recycling companies. This system sorts and recovers iron using a magnetic separator from crushed materials, and sorts non-ferrous metals using a non-ferrous metal sorting machine. It also includes a color sorting machine that sorts non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass by item. We have received high praise from our customers regarding the metal sorting results after the plant began operation.

Exhibition of magnetic separators at the China Environmental Expo.
In August 2020, we exhibited the magnetic separator manufactured by Mitsubishi Nagasaki Machinery at the China Environmental Expo held in Shanghai, China. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to participate from our headquarters, but we exhibited primarily through our group company, Shanghai Lingduan Machinery Co., Ltd., and received many visitors at our booth!

"A company that is both old and new"! The predecessor of Mitsubishi Nagasaki Machinery was established as Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. Nagasaki Steel Works during the Taisho era, and it traces back to Mitsubishi Steel Co., Ltd. Nagasaki Steel Works, which became independent in 1942. In 1975, it was established by inheriting the industrial machinery and steel structure manufacturing division of the company. The technology of Mitsubishi Nagasaki Machinery is based on the skills developed as a cast and forged steel manufacturer since the Mitsubishi Steel era. While supported by tradition and new technologies, it continues its unique research and development and technical refinement, skillfully blending engineering (design technology) and manufacturing (production technology) in a well-balanced manner, actively engaging in product development and business expansion.
