The mechanism of load cells in instrumentation equipment.
We use load cells in various measurement scenarios. For inquiries about different types of load cells, contact Mitsubishi Nagasaki Machinery!
**What is a Load Cell?** A load cell is a transducer that converts the magnitude of a force into an electrical signal. There are various methods for measuring force, such as magnetostriction, string vibration, and capacitance, but our load cells utilize strain gauges and are widely used in industrial applications. **Principle of Load Cell Measurement** A load cell consists of a deformable element that deforms in proportion to the force applied and a strain gauge attached to it. A voltage (applied voltage) is always applied to the load cell, and a very small voltage signal proportional to the strain is output (output voltage). When a force is applied to the deformable element, the electrical resistance changes due to the strain, and the output voltage changes proportionally. By amplifying this change within the load cell and converting it into a weight value, it functions as a scale.
basic information
We provide high-precision, stable, and highly durable instrumentation devices. There are various types of load cells: 1-axis type, 2-pin type, 3-compression type, and 4-tension type. The type varies depending on the mounting position, shape, and required accuracy, but these are the general categories. 【What kind of company is Mitsubishi Nagasaki Machinery?】 Mitsubishi Nagasaki Machinery traces its origins back to Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. Nagasaki Steel Works, which was established during the Taisho era, and became independent as Mitsubishi Steel Co., Ltd. Nagasaki Steel Works in 1942. In 1975, it was established by inheriting the industrial machinery and structural steel canning division of the same company. The technology of Mitsubishi Nagasaki Machinery is based on the expertise developed as a cast and forged steel manufacturer since the Mitsubishi Steel era. Supported by tradition and new technologies, the company continues its unique research and development and technical refinement, skillfully blending engineering (design technology) and manufacturing (production technology) to actively engage in product development and business expansion!
