The Hallite Wiper 520 features a wiper lip design that maintains contact with the rod surface, allowing it to remove any contaminants such as mud, except in heavy-duty applications. The outer diameter of the seal incorporates a crush lip that provides an interference fit with the housing, along with a face bead to prevent the crush lip from snagging on the corners of the housing. These features help prevent the ingress of contaminants into the groove. The rib formed on the inner diameter enhances the stability of the wiper and helps prevent the possibility of blowout due to trapped pressure between the wiper and the main rod seal.
