Hallite's OptiSeal VSE is a spring-loaded external pressure seal. It features a U-shaped seal jacket that incorporates a V-shaped corrosion-resistant metal spring. When there is no load or at low pressure, the spring provides the necessary load to the seal lip, creating the appropriate contact surface pressure. As the operating pressure increases, the system pressure acts on the U-shaped area, influencing the sealing performance at high pressure. The standard material is a high-performance seal jacket made from PTFE.
