This is a case study on the introduction of notebook PCs by MSI Computer Japan, proposed for new students at "Kyoto Computer Gakuin" (hereafter: KCG). At this school, all students learn the basics of game development in their first semester. Whether they aspire to be designers or planners, everyone learns about programming and how to use game engines, among other topics. Additionally, from the second semester of the first year onward, practical game development classes called project exercises are also conducted. MSI proposes specifications suitable for the ever-evolving game development environment to the school. They provide robust support during the students' enrollment period, including annual PC specification briefings and on-site consultations to answer students' questions. We spoke with Professor Isamu Takahashi of KCG, who supports the educational environment in the "game engine era," about the relationship between MSI and KCG.
