This time, we present the case study of the newly established computer room (Digital Creator's Room, hereinafter referred to as the DC Room) at Shiga Gakuen High School, which has adopted desktop PCs, gaming monitors, and devices from MSI Computer Japan Co., Ltd. for the entire computer room. The school offers educational programs tailored to the needs of the times, such as the "Global Special Advancement Course" and the "Future Advancement Course," producing human resources that can be immediately effective in the workforce. One of the initiatives the school is promoting ahead of other schools in the prefecture is the ICT integration in education, which includes providing each student with a tablet device, establishing a Wi-Fi environment, and distributing video teaching materials, thereby creating an environment where students can take the initiative in their learning and improve their academic abilities. The school has enhanced its curriculum to equip students aspiring to become creators with advanced skills, and we have asked Mr. Koichi Mori and Mr. Masateru Kato, who led the establishment of the DC Room, about the background, reasons, and results of the transition from the traditional computer room to the new DC Room.
