On October 6, 2022, I made a poster presentation at the 2022 Annual Thermal and Nuclear Power Generation Conference (Hiroshima Conference). [Overview] Hosted by the Thermal and Nuclear Power Generation Association, 2022 Annual Thermal and Nuclear Power Generation Conference (Hiroshima Conference), October 6, Hiroshima International Conference Center, Himawari Hall. Presentation Title: Consideration of the Chemical Stability of Ion Exchange Resins Summary of Presentation Content: I reported on the excellent oxidation resistance of high cross-linked cation exchange resins developed for thermal and nuclear power plants, focusing on comparative test results with various cation exchange resins of different cross-linking degrees. I introduced the advantages of high cross-linked cation resins. 1. Influence of cross-linking degree on PSS elution behavior 2. Effects of oxidative solutions 3. Influence of PSS molecular weight on the reaction rate of anion resins Situation during the poster presentation: I was able to engage in discussions with those using ion exchange resins, considering their current usage situations. Additionally, there were various questions and answers regarding high cross-linked cation resins.
