The "SB-1100" is a measuring instrument that non-contactly measures the weight (basis weight) of materials by converting the attenuation of beta rays into electrical signals. Unlike laser methods, it is non-contact, making it suitable for fragile or easily scratched items, and it is less affected by variations in the path line during transport. Additionally, unlike infrared methods, it can measure black materials and those containing fillers.
