PFAS-free low friction, lubricating coating 'S-8008'

As a measure against PFAS, we introduce a coating specialized in sliding properties (low friction) as an alternative to fluorine coatings.

In response to the recent trend of PFAS regulations and prohibitions, efforts to find alternative materials for fluorine coatings have been increasing. We would like to introduce the PFAS-free low-friction lubricating coating 'S-8008'. 'S-8008' is a PFAS-free lubricating coating that combines molybdenum disulfide and special polymers. Its initial friction coefficient is low at 0.09, demonstrating excellent performance even under high-load sliding conditions. The binder resin used is highly resistant to corrosion, showing nearly 1000 hours of durability in salt spray tests. Please utilize it as a low-friction coating for various industrial equipment applications and components as an alternative to fluorine coatings.
