It is a lightweight, crack-resistant hollow microparticle of cross-linked polyurethane that has an air layer inside.
Hollow particles with internal space possess lightweight, thermal insulation, and light diffusion properties, and are applied in the fields of electronics and building materials. However, existing hollow particles made from rigid materials such as silica and acrylic resin have faced challenges of being hard and brittle. Negami Industries has utilized its unique polymerization method to apply highly tough and high-strength cross-linked urethane resin to the shell material, thereby improving handling properties while maintaining the unique characteristics of hollow particles.
