The turbine flow meter can maximize its measurement range with lower viscosity.

The impeller rotates due to the pressure of the fluid, with the rotation speed proportional to the cumulative flow rate and the rotational velocity proportional to the instantaneous flow rate. A non-contact pickup sensor detects the movement of the blades and outputs pulses. In contrast to gear flow meters, which have a wider measurement range with higher viscosity, turbine flow meters can maximize their measurement range with lower viscosity.
