When raising infected animals using pathogens classified as biosafety level 2 or higher, a Class 1 NR type system that supplies general environmental air, or a Class 2 SR type system that supplies air filtered through a HEPA filter, should be used. NR Type - Air passing through the breeding shelf is filtered by a HEPA filter. - Three-tier, door-equipped negative pressure rack. Each breeding room can accommodate small mouse cages in two stacked tiers. - The door can be removed to accommodate medium cages.
