A major Swiss fire truck manufacturer has been purchasing completed wheel assemblies for trolleys with casters until now. Due to end-user demands for more flexibility and additional features, the manufacturer decided to independently develop the wheel assemblies for existing equipment trolleys. The basic wheel assembly uses two swivel casters from the "L-ALTH series" and two fixed casters with deadman brakes from the "B-GTH series." The casters are equipped with polyurethane treads called "Blickle Extrathane." After detailed discussions with this company, Blickle's engineers additionally designed flanged wheels to enable safe use on railway tracks.
