[Process Example] Bioethanol Dehydration Membrane Unit

Low cost and energy-saving! Achieves dehydration to a moisture content of less than 0.7 wt% within JASO standards.

We would like to introduce a process example of the "Bioethanol Dehydration Membrane Unit." For bioethanol production, we have adopted aromatic polyimide separation membranes from Ube Industries, Ltd., achieving dehydration to a moisture content of less than 0.7 wt% within JASO standards. The vapor permeation method results in less membrane fouling and excellent heat and solvent resistance, ensuring a long lifespan. Additionally, it features low cost and energy efficiency compared to the azeotropic distillation method. 【Specifications】 ■ Raw material: Mandarin orange press cake ■ Treatment liquid: 90 vol% ethanol ■ Treatment capacity: 60 L/hr ■ Product composition: 99.5 vol% or more ethanol ■ Recovery rate: 98% or more *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
