[Case Study of Distillation Equipment] Distillation Equipment for Bioethanol Pilot Plant
Install a demister at the top of the tower to prevent droplet carryover! Introduction of a case study on bioethanol distillation.
We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of our bioethanol pilot plant distillation equipment. The challenges included concerns about scaling within the mash column and the potential for entrained droplets in the distillation apparatus for the pilot plant. As a solution, we adopted a vacuum column to distill the fermented mash liquid using low-temperature steam, which reduced scaling. We were able to meet the processing capacity and product composition required by the customer. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - Concerns about scaling within the mash column (including trays) - Concerns about entrained droplets ■Solution - Adopted a vacuum column to distill the fermented mash liquid with low-temperature steam, reducing scaling - Installed a demister at the top of the column to prevent entrained droplets *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
