Hot slots are heaters used to achieve reproducibility and uniformity of temperature distribution in hot runner nozzles and for heating silicon wafers, among other applications. They enable uniform temperature distribution with thin plate thickness.
basic information
The hot slot embeds a thin wire coil heater into a brass base material (minimum thickness t1.5mm) to maintain a uniform temperature distribution. It can be machined to specified dimensions, and in addition to being used as a nozzle shape, it can also be used as a heating plate. It is also possible to embed a thermocouple (Type J) as a temperature sensor. Additionally, it can be used as a high-temperature surface heater with no temperature variation. Standard stock items: Hot Slot Mini, available in stock at Hot Set. J sensor is standard equipment. The maximum operating temperature is 700°C.
