Introducing a case study on the coating of carburized coils for automotive parts!
We received a request to extend the lifespan of quenching coils used in the manufacturing line, and we would like to introduce a case where this was solved with a ceramic thermal spray coating!
Automobiles use thousands of parts. Functions such as wear resistance, thermal insulation, and electrical insulation of ceramic thermal spraying have been considered and adopted, improving the fuel efficiency and durability of vehicles. Here, we introduce a case where ceramic thermal spraying solved issues related to automotive parts. ■Challenge We want to extend the lifespan of the quenching coils used in the manufacturing line. ■Proposal We propose applying ceramic thermal spraying with heat resistance and insulation properties to the quenching coil section. ■Effect It was adopted in the production line, contributing to increased productivity by extending the lifespan, which has led to great satisfaction and regular repair requests.
