Fluororesin sealing tape "Nitoflon NO. 95" series
This is a pipe seal that securely seals just by wrapping it around the threaded part. It has high durability, making post-installation pipe maintenance easy!
The "Nitoflon NO.95 Series" is a tape made of fluoropolymer (PTFE) that excels in chemical resistance, cold resistance, and heat resistance. Thanks to its unique self-fusing property, it provides a strong sealing function simply by wrapping it around the threaded joints of various fluid piping. It can be used not only on metal pipes such as iron, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum but also on plastic pipes like PVC. Since its launch in 1962, it has been beloved by customers for many years. 【Features】 - Easy to screw in and remove. It can also be easily disassembled after installation. - Excellent cold and heat resistance with a usage temperature range of -100°C to 260°C. - Resistant to most chemicals, solvents, and vapors. - Leakage at threaded joints caused by male and female threads can be prevented, especially by increasing lateral elongation. - Allows for quick and easy work without dirtying hands, unlike liquid sealants. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
basic information
**Comparison with Liquid Sealants** ☆Chemical Resistance No.95: Being made of fluororesin, it is not affected by various chemicals. Liquid Gasket: The adhesive is prone to chemical reactions. ☆Heat Resistance No.95: 260°C Liquid Gasket: About 200°C for steam piping. ☆Pressure Resistance No.95: It bites firmly into the threaded part, allowing it to withstand high pressure. Liquid Gasket: Since it adheres with adhesive, once it peels off, there is a possibility of blowing off. ☆Maintenance After Installation No.95: As a non-adhesive type, it can be easily removed during maintenance. Liquid Gasket: Once adhered, it requires significant force to physically destroy the sealing part. Additionally, cleaning up the remaining adhesive is labor-intensive. **Differences Between No.95 (JIS) and No.95S** The specific gravity (density) of fluorine differs. No.95 (JIS) has a specific gravity defined by JIS standards, making it higher than that of No.95S. **Part Number Selection Criteria** For public works projects, products specified by JIS standards may be required, in which case No.95 (JIS) will be used.
