Nittobo’s "GFRP with Visible Weave" is an entirely new decorative composite material developed by precisely adjusting the refractive indices of glass fibers (GF) and the matrix resin. Its greatest feature lies in achieving a sense of transparency and the natural luster of the fibers themselves—a combination previously difficult to balance in conventional FRP. The fiber bundles encapsulated within the resin strongly scatter and reflect light, causing them to appear brilliant. After molding, the glass cloth's weave pattern emerges as a three-dimensional texture, creating a deep 3D effect as if the pattern is floating deep within the resin. While enabling new design expressions that highlight the original beauty of the weave, this next-generation material also firmly maintains the electrical insulation and radio wave permeability inherent to GFRP. It adds transparency and a high-end aesthetic to products without compromising functionality.
