We will introduce a solution to the problem of the dew point not decreasing. A portable dew point meter was used to measure high-purity nitrogen. A regulator was installed on the cylinder, and a sampling tube was connected to the dew point meter to measure the dew point. After running for about 2 hours, the dew point only decreased to around -60°C, and measuring other cylinders did not change the situation. The cause was insufficient purging of the sample piping system. It is necessary to either increase the flow rate or extend the purging time. Additionally, there was an influence from the surrounding components on the primary side of the dew point meter. Please use piping made of materials that do not allow moisture to permeate, or are difficult to permeate, such as metal piping or PTFE.
