Plastic molding die
Molds used for plastic molding in semiconductor production sites. Achieving a surface roughness of Rz0.2!
These are parts with a high frequency of wear, so we perform vacuum hardening on DC53 to improve wear resistance. Additionally, to prevent the resin from adhering to the mold during shaping, we enhance the surface roughness. At the machining finishing stage, we achieve a surface roughness of Rz = 1.6, and a mirror finish with Rz = 0.2 through lapping. If you are having trouble with surface roughness of irregular shapes, please feel free to consult us. With 20 years of history at Ohno Seiko, we believe we can offer solutions and suggestions based on our refined techniques developed through trial and error. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
basic information
This mold is made from a material called DC53, which has been heat-treated to achieve a hardness of approximately HRC62, making it suitable for plastic molding molds. After heat treatment, it is finished using a machining center called V33, followed by lapping. This item is a set of one part for R/L, so it is manufactured with strict dimensional accuracy.
