Okano Valve Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, President: Takeharu Okano, hereinafter referred to as "Okano Valve Manufacturing") officially launched the procurement support system "IoM Procurement," developed in collaboration with its group company, Alterbooth Co., Ltd., on Friday, October 16, 2026. After approximately four months since the start of the alpha version in June, the system has been refined into a form that can withstand actual operation, reflecting the feedback from about 100 companies that were interviewed and those that used the system as monitors. The manufacturing industry is currently facing increasing challenges due to rising raw material costs and the closure or suspension of suppliers. Meanwhile, procurement operations still rely on paper and fax, resulting in a dependence on individual workers, who are overwhelmed with daily tasks. IoM Procurement semi-automates the entire series of procurement operations from quotation to delivery. It not only improves the efficiency of the staff's work and alleviates the dependence on individuals but also promotes the development of new procurement sources as a "procurement support system."
