[Case Study] Preventing Parts Order Omissions through Integration of BOM and 3D CAD
Introducing a case study on the implementation of a parts configuration management system at Y.E.S. Denko Co., Ltd.!
At Y.E.S. Denko Co., Ltd., there were challenges such as wanting to "promote the reuse and standardization of design data and establish a business platform" and "eliminate the missing parts orders that occurred due to analog checks." In response, we introduced the "Production Revolution Bom-jin" as a mechanism for reusing design data. With the establishment of a platform for business standardization, it has become easier to advance merged operations and new business developments. Additionally, by linking 3D CAD with this system, all standard parts, down to a single screw, have been connected to the parts list, creating a system that allows for parts to be ordered without omissions. [Overview] ■ Objectives of Implementation - Promote the reuse and standardization of design data and establish a business platform - Eliminate missing parts orders that occurred due to analog checks ■ Solutions - Introduce a parts list management system to standardize operations - Eliminate discrepancies between CAD data and the parts list by linking 3D CAD with "Production Innovation Bom-jin" *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
