A 3D laser scanner is a high-speed measurement device that collects data at the rate of tens of thousands of points per second over a full 360° range around the machine. It calculates distances by sending laser light back and forth between the scanner and the object without direct contact, obtaining three-dimensional coordinate values based on the angle and distance of the emitted light. The data collected after measurement can be used to create 2D CAD drawings and 3D models tailored to the customer's needs.
