[Azeloss Case Study] Panasonic AP Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd.
"Zero" defects in screw tightening during introduction! Improving on-site work quality supports strengthening the factory's competitiveness.
We would like to introduce a case where Panasonic AP Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd. adopted 15 units of the high-end model "Type A" of "Azeloss." Previously, with models that did not have the poka-yoke feature, the company was unable to fully detect issues such as forgetting to tighten screws or shipping products in a temporarily secured state, leading to reports of abnormal noises after shipment. Since the introduction in August 2023, there have been no incidents of screw tightening issues in the new line. [Challenges] - Although measures were taken within the factory to address screw tightening defects, they were using a somewhat analog method of marking screws with a pen. - As long as humans were involved, there were instances of missed check marks, and the factory reported 4 to 5 cases of screw tightening defects annually. *For product details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
basic information
【Results】 ■ Since it can detect forgotten screw tightening more accurately than the human eye, the manufacturing lines that have introduced Azelos have abolished the traditional checklist tasks, significantly reducing time and personnel. ■ It is also possible to perform tightening operations using only the designated tools according to established procedures through "sequence management," allowing for the creation of a situation with "no forgotten screw tightening" without allocating personnel. ■ Workers on-site have expressed positive feedback, stating they feel "liberated from the pressure of human error" and that the tool is "easy to grip and less likely to cause wrist pain even during tasks with high reactive force." *For product details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
