Mechanical component material 'SM-4'
Equivalent material to old JIS SMF4030! Post-processing can include steam treatment and carburizing quenching and tempering.
"SM-4" is a material that conforms to JIS standards and is widely used for mechanical structural components. Post-treatment options include steam treatment and carburizing quenching and tempering. Steam treatment involves heating iron-based materials (or iron-copper alloys with low oil content) in water vapor at temperatures between 400 and 600°C, resulting in the formation of black magnetic iron oxide (Fe3O4) on the surface and through pores. This oxide film enhances the hardness of the product surface and improves wear resistance and corrosion resistance. 【Features】 - Equivalent to the old JIS SMF4030 material - A material that conforms to JIS standards, widely used for mechanical structural components - Post-treatment options include steam treatment and carburizing quenching and tempering *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
