Residual current devices pose a risk of causing large-scale damage, such as fires, in the event of a defect, which necessitates extremely strict quality control with no tolerance for any issues. However, the assembly of a wide variety of parts, which is difficult to automate, requires manual handling, making it a challenge to balance quality maintenance and production responsiveness. In this case, a "defect monitoring system" utilizing approximately 200 video cameras was implemented. By recording and managing the assembly and visual inspection processes through video, we ensure reliable traceability. On-site, a team of about 50 people is always in place to carefully carry out all processes, including delicate soldering work, by hand.
