Responding to the mandatory implementation of phishing-resistant MFA by Salesforce.

Explanation of the "privileged users" in question, authentication methods that meet the requirements, and those that do not meet the requirements!

Since February 2022, Salesforce has made multi-factor authentication (MFA) mandatory for all users in its terms of service. In addition, a two-step enhancement was implemented in 2026. (1) For system administrators and "privileged users" with strong permissions, phishing-resistant MFA is mandatory. (2) For other internal users, an MFA method recognized by Salesforce is mandatory. Both have already been applied to the release groups in Japan and South Korea as of September 1, 2026. *For more details, you can view the related links.
