A wristwatch-type device specialized for factory equipment maintenance, "WorkWatch Alarm," supports kanji display to further enhance communication with workers.
Rattok System Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka Prefecture, Representative Director Masakazu Kondo, hereinafter referred to as "Rattok System") announces that it will implement an update for the factory equipment-oriented wristwatch communication tool "WorkWatch Alarm" in December 2020 (scheduled), which will support the display of kanji characters on the wristwatch notification screen. WorkWatch Alarm is a tool that connects factory managers and workers. Workers receive messages from managers and can reply through the wristwatch-type device they wear. The product is equipped with sensors that detect temperature anomalies and includes features to alert users to dangers. By applying this update, the method of display will be significantly changed from the conventional keyword transmission. Kanji preset data necessary for equipment maintenance has already been registered in advance, allowing for the combination of these kanji words to convey more specific messages than before, thereby enhancing convenience. Additionally, the visibility has been improved with large two-byte character displays.

This product is a system that notifies users of changes in the signal lights manufactured by Patlite, installed in factories and facilities, through vibrations on the wristwatch terminal. The system can be built within a 1 km range from a PC connected to Patlite's "AirGRID," allowing messages to be sent to the wristwatch terminal based on the CSV files updated by AirGRID. This product is a system set consisting of a wristwatch-type terminal, SubGiga-Bluetooth Gateway, SubGiga host adapter, and a Windows application. It can be used as a communication system for sending and receiving messages between workers wearing the terminal and computers in the management building.
