Industrial Serial Optical Converter RS-OP61
A unit that converts metal cables for serial communication to fiber optic cables. Compatible with RS-232C, RS-422, and RS-485.
Connect the two main products with an optical cable. By replacing communication via RS-232C, 422, and 485 metal cables with optical cables, it is possible to extend the distance up to 40 km in a point-to-point configuration. It is intended for use attached to railways, roads, and bridges. The metal cables between the terminal and the main product, the optical cables connecting the main products, and the power unit are sold separately.
basic information
This product is installed on both the host side and the device side to achieve optical communication between the products. The communication distance is up to 40 km (when using point-to-point mode). It supports RS-232C, RS-422, and RS-485, with switching via Dip-SW. It enables protocol-independent conversion (such as HDLC and no protocol). Termination resistance (120Ω) can be turned ON/OFF when using RS-422 and RS-485. In two-wire mode, it also supports one-to-n communication (ring mode). The connectors for power and signal lines use attachment-type terminal blocks. After wiring at the terminal block, it is designed to be mounted onto the unit, which enhances workability during installation.
