PoE-compatible LAN-to-serial converter. Control of serial devices is possible via LAN. PoE compatibility enhances installation flexibility.
The "RS-ET62" is a unit that controls serial devices via Ethernet. ■ It supports PoE PD for the power supply, eliminating the need for an AC adapter that was previously necessary, allowing for system construction without concern for the availability of power at the installation site. ■ By using Ethernet, it enables control and data collection of serial devices installed at remote locations without worrying about the cable length limitations of RS-232C. ■ In a Windows environment, it can be recognized as a COM port device. By using the standard included "RATOC-VSP," existing COM port compatible applications can be used.
