The third generation new product of the USB-Serial conversion cable released in 2001. The successor model to the REX-USB60F, which has a cumulative shipment record of 1.5 million units, is now available. This product is a special model that assigns USB bus power to pin 9 of the serial connector on the RS-USB602F. (The RI signal originally assigned to pin 9 of the serial connector cannot be used.) It is compatible with Windows, Windows Server, and Android OS. It features three types of access LEDs (Power, Tx, Rx), making it easy to check the communication status. Since it is recognized as a COM port device by Windows, most dedicated applications provided by various RS-232C device manufacturers can be used as is. (It does not support all COM port applications.)

USB2.0 compliant FullSpeed device. Supports up to 230kbps. The serial side connector is a D-SUB 9-pin male type. It features a fixed screw #4-40 hex post. The total cable length is approximately 85cm. The maximum current consumption is about 22mA, which is about one-third compared to conventional products, making it ideal for use with small PCs and tablet devices. The USB bus power assigned to serial port pin 9 can be used as the power supply for the serial device, capable of supplying approximately 5V and 85mA. Standard model [RS-USB602F] features a Standard A connector on the USB side, long cable model [RS-USB602F-25] has a cable length of 2.5m on the serial side, and model [RS-USB602FC] uses a USB-C connector.
