Its application involves placing an acceleration pickup on a vehicle seat and sitting on it to measure the vibrations that the vehicle imparts to the body.

These standards define frequency weighting characteristics corresponding to vibration transmission points and three axial directions, aimed at quantifying whole-body vibrations in relation to vibration perception, comfort, and health issues, including periodic, irregular, and transient vibrations. ◆ Measurement results can be recorded on a CF card. ◆ Equipped with outputs in three directions, allowing waveform recording to frequency analyzers and data recorders.
