Current State of Material Handling in Production Lines: Logistics in production lines involves the transportation and movement of raw materials, semi-finished products, samples, and finished products between different processing points on the production line. This typically aids production operations that require the transportation of both small and large quantities of materials, necessitating precise coordination with the overall production rhythm. Currently, traditional logistics in production lines primarily relies on manual labor, utilizing several non-automated methods, such as trolleys and carts, while some automation is achieved through automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). However, the traditional methods of transportation in industrial settings lead to a mismatch between the high efficiency of production lines and the low efficiency of logistics delivery, reducing overall efficiency.
