The index table type μDD motor has been released! The MRS-70 is an ultra-compact servo motor with an outer diameter of φ70, and it does not require a reducer or bearings. By simply placing the main body and applying a load, high-precision direct drive positioning can be achieved immediately. With an axial runout of 5μm, it allows for the construction of high-precision systems that were previously only achievable with large motors of φ100 or more, all in a compact space. It is possible to achieve both miniaturization and high precision, which are typically conflicting specifications. The hollow diameter is also large at φ25, allowing for the passage of cables, air tubes, shafts, and more. A customizable small robotic arm for researchers, "KOHAKU," has arrived! This arm features high back drivability, enabling smooth motion and quiet operation. Additionally, to facilitate application development for users, the system is provided in a way that allows easy integration with Python and ROS modules. It is also possible to switch between position control, force control (current), and speed control to manipulate the arm.
